Sacramento, Calif. – Sacramento City Councilmember Sean Loloee (District 2) issued the following statement in response to the council’s unanimous vote in support of the 2021 Master Siting Plan to address Sacramento’s homelessness crisis:
“This new framework represents an opportunity to make significant strides in tackling Sacramento’s growing homelessness crisis.
“As we move forward, I will continue to advocate for increased wrap-around programs, zero tolerance for drug use and sales, and security for residents seeking shelter and a path away from dependency. We can’t just write a blank check and walk away.
“I look forward to a robust stakeholder process that includes our entire community to help create a path forward that ensures dignified shelters are available for the homeless, while keeping our communities and businesses safe.”
